PURPOSE: An electrophoretic display panel of a display device is provided to improve display quality. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(1000) comprises a first substrate which includes a first base substrate(110) and pixel electrodes(180), a second substrate which is placed on a second base substrate and the pixel electrodes on the second substrate, an electrophoretic layer which expresses gradation placed between the first and the second substrates, and a shielding electrode(170) in which a voltage corresponding to a black gradation is applied.
