PURPOSE: A display device and driving method thereof are provided to transmit a synchronization signal to a display device by generating a synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(110) processes a video signal. A display unit(120) displays a stereo-scopic image. A synchronization signal receiver(130) receives a synchronization signal for a left eye image and a right eye image. A control unit(140) controls the signal processing unit according to the opening/closing of a left eye shutter unit(22) and a right eye shutter unit(24).
