CASE FOR A SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A case for a secondary battery is provided to improve surface hardness and an insulation property and to exhibit colors or patterns on the surface of a case according to the taste of consumers without the separate painting operation. CONSTITUTION: A case for a secondary battery comprises: a body(100) which accommodates an electrode assembly(120) and is made of a conductive material; an oxide layer(200) formed on the surface of the body; and a colored sealing layer(300) consisting of colored organic materials formed on the oxide layer. The body is aluminum or an aluminum plate made of aluminum alloy. The oxide film is an aluminum oxide layer formed on the surface of the aluminum plate through the electrochemical treatment in the state where the aluminum plate is dipped in an adipic acid solution.
