PURPOSE: A protective packing for a submerged pump is provided to prevent damage to a pump caused by the collision of a submerged pump against a rock wall during the operation. CONSTITUTION: A protective packing(10) comprises a conical body(12) surrounding a pumping pipe, wherein the body is divided by half in the longitudinal direction and has a central projection rim(14) and a longitudinal cut groove(18). Fixing parts(20) are formed on both ends of the body to bind up the divided body parts.
