PURPOSE: A reclining apparatus for a vehicle seat with improved responding properties is provided to enable a passenger to easily adjust the angle of a seat back when a lock plate is separated from a fixed flange. CONSTITUTION: A reclining apparatus for a vehicle seat with improved responding properties comprises a fixed flange(110), a lever shaft(120), a torsion spring, a rotary flange(140), a lock plate(150), and a housing(170). The fixed flange is coupled to a seat cushion frame and has a first through hole and a first inclined gear unit. The lever shaft passes through the first through hole and is rotated when a seat back lever is operated. One end of the torsion spring is fixed to the lever shaft, and the other end is fixed to the fixed flange. The rotary flange is coupled to the seat back frame and has a second through hole and a second gear unit. The lock plate is movably inserted into the lever shaft and has an inclined gear meshed with the first gear unit and a spur gear meshed with the second gear unit. The housing couples the fixed flange and the rotary flange. |
