BAFFLE OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT FOR IMPROVING EFFICIENCY OF SEDIMENTATION

PURPOSE: A settling pond baffle for improving the settling characteristic is provided to filter foreign material containing microfloc by controlling the flow of target water supplied to the refining wall of a settling pond. CONSTITUTION: A settling pond baffle is composed of a sludge collecting unit, a flux controlling unit(50), and a filtering unit(60). The sludge collecting unit includes a chain(20) and a scum waterway(40). The flux controlling unit is installed at the operational path of the chain and reduces the flux of target water in order to settle microfloc. The filtering unit eliminates the microfloc through the flux controlling unit. A louver(62) horizontally arranges to the rear side of the scum waterway and changes the flowing direction of the target water. A guide vane induces the target water to the direction of an overflow weir.
