Telecommunications jack with circuit board that connects contact springs to wire termination contacts

Disclosed is a telecommunications jack (120) with crosstalk compensation. The jack comprises: a housing (122, 124, 126) defining a port (128) for receiving a plug; a plurality of contact springs adapted to make electrical contact with the plug when the plug is inserted into the port of the housing; a plurality of wire termination contacts for terminating wires to the jack; and a circuit board that electrically connects the contact springs to the wire termination contacts. The circuit board includes first (140) and second (142) conductive layers separated by a first dielectric layer (146), the first dielectric layer having a thickness less than .01 inches. The first and second conductive layers include a cross talk compensation arrangement including spaced-apart capacitor members, the capacitor members being separated by the first dielectric layer.
