Disclosed is a transdermal composition containing pharmaceutically active ingredient e.g. acyclovir, piroxicam, meloxicam, ibuprofen, diclofenac sodium or diclofenac potassium, clotrimazol, bifonazol, metronidazole, nifedipin, nitroglycerine or cetirizin characterised that the particles of the active ingredient are coated with highly volatile silicones e.g. hexamethyldisiloxane, octamethyltrisiloxane or decamethylpentacyclosiloxane or a mixture thereof, and these coated particles are dispersed in a gel or cream base e.g carboxyvinyl, or polymer, hydroxypropl-methylcellulose. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of said composition. |
