The present invention is related to the industrial sector for the manufacture of food supplements and nutraceuticals. More particularly, the invention is related to the industry for the manufacture of antioxidant compositions for human consumption, which are rich in liquid precursors of aliphatic sulfane sulphur having a chemopreventive function and cytotoxic effect. One of the advantages of the present invention is to achieve a composition of essential oils from cruciferae and liliaceae, and determine the means for extracting the same in order to attain the chemoprevention upon activating the cytotoxic effect, also determining the mixtures of sulfane sulphur precursors for customizing the dosages with selective effects in different cellular tissues including carcinomas; a variation in the ratio of methyl sulphides and alkyl sulphides generates specificity in the cytotoxic effect. An edible product is thus obtained, which is based on sulfane sulfur precursors as chemopreventive antiox idant active compounds with a cytotoxic effect. Said composition is characterised in that it is formed by sulphured and nitrogenated essential oils with a content of sulfur as liquid precursors of antioxidant sulfane sulfur, having two to four sulfur atoms, where the relative abundances are higher than 80% and the ketone aldehydes and alcohols are lower than 5%.
