<p>The invention relates to a portable roaster intended, in particular, for roasting large pieces of meat at adjustable roasting temperature. The portable roaster comprises a roasting jack () that can be engaged into rotation either manually or by an electric motor and that is supported by two side frames () mounted on a lower frame () provided with swivel wheels for transport, a heat reflecting device () placed above the roasting jack () and supported by two columns () so as to permit free access to the roasting jack during roasting, a coal firing () placed under the roasting jack () and supported by an upper frame () mounted on an elevator of adjustable height which is also fixed on the lower frame () and is characterized in that the coal firing () is mounted on an upper frame () supported by a shear-type elevator () with manual or automatic actuation which, in its operating position, ensures the continuous control of the distance between the coal firing () and the roasting jack (), while, in its stored or transport position, can be lowered together the upper frame () so as to rest with some shockproof pads () mounted at its corners onto some corresponding shockproof pads () provided on the lower frame () and the heat reflecting device (), the roasting jack () and the side frames () fold together into the cleaned firing box (), the so filled up firing box () being then placed under the lower frame (), between the swivel wheels () with brakes thereof.</p> |
