The device has an optical sensor (1) projecting an image of a document on an image sensor (2). An illumination system (5) has a light source i.e. LED, for emitting a light in an ultraviolet spectrum. The optical sensor is placed above a mirror (7a). The system and the image sensor are placed in zones differentiated from a predetermined and selectioned device such that the light emitted by the light source is not directly incident on a reading surface (8) for capturing the image by the image sensor. A radio frequency identification (RFID) reader (14) is connected to an antenna (13).
