A spacer with a simple mode of application enables directing of branches in crowns of trees or shrubs to a required position. The appropriately long spacer, which is assembled of simple components - tubes (1) and attachments with notches (3) - is inserted between two branches which tend to grow too close together to force them apart. Branches, which grow too apart from each other, are pulled together by means of ties (4) which are wound around the branch on each side and fastened to respective notches (3) on the spacer's attachments. If a longer spacer is needed, a clamping tube (2) is made use of to join the two tubes (1).
|
