Blocks of wood agglomerate made in a mould that keeps the agglomerate under pressure untill cured

A compressed block of wood agglomerate cured under pressure is disclosed. The block consists of wood particles and a hydraulic binder, produced by a method in which an initial mixture comprising wood particles and a hydraulic binder is held under pressure for the duration of the hardening of the binder. The particles of wood represent at least 75%, preferably from 75% to 95%, of the total volume of dry matter of the initial mixture and wherein the pressure is lower than 1MPa.The invention further relates to a method for production of said blocks and the use thereof in particular, as construction elements for buildings.
