The end piece (1) has clamping devices (5) exerting friction against a wall of a hole (2) pierced in a snow cover (3), during pressurized introduction of the end piece into the hole. The friction causes liquefaction of a sheet of water without compromising the structural integrity of the hole, and retains the clamping devices after freezing of liquid water and/or activation of a physical link between snow crystals and the clamping devices. The clamping devices have a fiber layer made of emerized fabric layered material, a paint layer or a rubber layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for introduction of an end piece of a ski pole.
