The mold has a base support (2) formed in a resin block. A matrix (3) is machined in the base support, and has a profile similar to that of a prototyping part to be molded. A production unit produces a profile complementary to that of the matrix when the matrix is machined in hollow or in relief. A punch (5) is integrated with a reinforcement (6). A profile of the punch is complementary to the profile of the matrix such that the mold permits the fabrication of the prototyping part by injection of a synthetic material i.e. Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD). An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an injection mold for fabrication of prototyping parts.
