<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment capable of performing desired character input by easily switching character types, and a character input method of the portable electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment is provided with: a first operation part 11A to which at least either one of characters including numbers and alphabets or symbols are assigned; a second operation part 11B in which neither the characters nor the symbols are assigned and which includes a selection key for selecting which of the characters and the symbols are input; and a control part 21 in which, when the numbers or the alphabets are selected by the selection key, a first character is input as the numbers or the alphabets by an operation of the first operation part 11A, an operation of the second operation part 11B is performed after that, and which inputs a predetermined symbol between the first and second characters when a second character is further input as the number or the alphabet input as the first character by the first operation part 11A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
