PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the rotation angle of a reciprocatingly rotating outer member of a one-way clutch by an inexpensive linear position sensor. SOLUTION: The one-way clutch 44 transmits driving force to an inner member 41 through rollers 42 when the outer member 43 is rotated in one direction, and slips on the inner member 41 when the outer member 43 is rotated in the other direction. The other end side of a cable 48 with one end bound to the outer member 43 of the one-way clutch 44 is guided in a linearly reciprocating manner by a guide member 49, and when the linear position sensor 50 detects the position of the cable 48, an outer member rotation angle computing means M1 computes the rotation angle of the outer member 43 based on the position of the cable 48. The rotation angle of the outer member 43 reciprocatingly rotated in short time intervals can thereby be accurately detected by the inexpensive linear position sensor 50 without needing an expensive rotation angle sensor capable of detecting rotation angles in two rotating directions.
