PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power assisted bicycle favorable as a small-size or folded-type bicycle in which devices for an auxiliary power are not arranged around a rear wheel and a pedal. SOLUTION: A driving wheel (rear wheel 5) is formed by an assisted motor unit 10 including: an out-rotor type electric motor 12 having a stator and a rotor rotating outside of the stator; a manned power driving mechanism 13 for rotating the rotor by a manned power applied from the outside of the electric motor 12, a manned power detecting device 14 for detecting that a predetermined manned power or more is applied to the manned power driving mechanism 13; and a motor controller 15 stored in the electric motor 12 for actuating the electric motor 12 in accordance with the detection of the manned power detecting device 14.
