PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive stand-up/seating assist device capable of relieving the burdens required of a wheelchair user and a care taker to stand up when a wheelchair is used. SOLUTION: A rotary seat 3 is horizontally disposed when the wheelchair is moved. A hinge part 1 with a foot side of the user as a shaft center is disposed in front of a seating part of the wheelchair to make the rotary seat 3 rotatable, so that the user can easily shift the motion to the standing-up motion by shifting the weight upward to change the horizontally disposed state to an inclined disposed state when the user tries to stand up as the wheelchair is stopped. The horizontally disposed state is a mechanically locked state when the wheelchair is moved, and the state can be changed to the inclined disposed state by releasing the locked state when the wheelchair is stopped.
