PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support deceleration while inhibiting a sense of discomfort from being given to the driver of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A deceleration support system (10), which is mounted on a vehicle (1), includes: a learning system (109), by which the driver of the vehicle learns a steering start position where the operation of the steering wheel for a right or left turn is started, when making the vehicle turn to the right or left; an intention confirming tool (109), which confirms the driver's intention of the right or left turn; a distance calculator (109), which can calculate a distance between the present vehicle position and the steering start position learned; and a deceleration support (109), which, when the driver's intention of the right or left turn is confirmed by the intention confirming tool and the steering start position is learned by the learning system, supports deceleration according to the distance calculated by the distance calculator.
