The light (100) has light source (12) comprising LEDs, and connected with a power supply by a coil on a connection side and with a reference potential on another connection side. A switch i.e. transistor, is arranged parallel to the light source, and connects the former connection side of the light source with the reference potential in a switchable manner. The switch is connected with a clock generator (18), which switches the switch with a predefined clock. Output voltage of the power supply in defined in dependence of duty cycles and a given operating point flux voltage of the light source.
