<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device that prevents reduction in rim intensity of a laser spot generated by condensing operation of an objective lens on the signal recording layer of an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: A laser beam having Gaussian distribution characteristics emitted from a laser diode 1 is guided through a 1/4 wavelength plate 5 and a collimator lens 6 to an objective lens 9. The laser beam is condensed on a signal recording layer L formed on an optical disk D by condensing operation of the objective lens 9. Reduction in rim intensity of a laser spot is prevented by depositing, on the 1/4 wavelength plate 5, an anti-reflection film 5A for adjusting the intensity of the laser beam transmitted through the 1/4 wavelength plate 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
