<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of deploying a second bag for restraining knees provided integrally with a first bag for restraining an upper body in an excellent state between an instrument panel and the knees of an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 10 for a front passenger seat includes an inflator 22, a main bag 26 inflated and deployed by gas supply from the inflator 22 to restrain the upper body U of the occupant P, a sub bag 28 inflated and deployed by gas supply from the inflator 22 to restrain the knees K of the occupant P, an upper side door 36 forming an upper side opening part 38 through which the main bag 26 passes according to inflation and deployment of the main bag 26 in the instrument panel 16, and a lower side door 40 forming a lower side opening part 42 through which the sub bag 28 passes by being deployed to an upper side according to inflation and deployment of the sub bag 28 in the instrument panel 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
