PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge method and a droplet discharge apparatus efficiently discharging droplets by dispensing with a waiting time caused by warm-up. SOLUTION: The droplet discharge method for discharging ultraviolet-curable ink to a substrate from a droplet discharging head includes: a determining step SS1 of determining whether or not to perform at least any one of a process SS4 preheating ink in the droplet discharging head to a temperature corresponding to the discharge timing as a warm-up process in the droplet discharging head, a process SS2 pre-driving a pretreatment unit as a warm-up treatment applying the pretreatment to the substrate, and a process SS3 pre-driving a post-treatment unit as a warm-up treatment of the post-treatment unit of irradiating the substrate having discharged ink with ultraviolet rays; and a performing step of performing at least any one of the processes based on the determination result of the determination step.
