PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure of rear body of a vehicle capable of having components disposed under the rear floor panel kept untouched from one another, without having the degree of freedom of designing lowered, while not causing the vehicle weight to be increased, and of efficiently absorbing load from the rear part of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The lower structure of the rear body 1 of a vehicle comprises: a rear floor panel 2 arranged at the rear part of the vehicle; a spare tire house 3 formed on the rear floor panel 2 in a recessed state directed downward; rear side members 4 respectively provided at the right and left edges of the rear floor panel 2, extending in the anteroposterior direction; a rear cross member 5, disposed in the front of the spare tire house 3 while linking a pair of rear side members 4; and a spare tire cross member 6 fitted on the spare tire house 3 while linking a pair of rear side members 4, wherein the rigidity from connection parts 4a of the rear side members 4 with the spare tire cross member 6 to rear side parts 4c at the rear side of the rear side member is characteristically so constituted as to be lower than the rigidity from the connection parts 4a to the front side parts 4b at the front part side of the vehicle.
