The injector has a central borehole (14) formed in an injection needle (9) for receiving fluid from an injection section, where pressurized liquid fuel is supplied to the injection section from an external side of the injector. A fuel collecting section (15) is formed around an external circumference of the needle, and a fuel connection hole (16) connects the central borehole with the fuel collecting section. A fuel discharging opening (17) is formed around the force collecting section for discharging the fuel to pressurized air flowing along the external circumference of the needle.
