The controller (2) directly or indirectly measures voltages (B+,U, V, W) from a vehicle generator (3) and adjusts exciting current (Ie) and/or excitation voltage (Ue) of the generator. The controller outputs indication signals (F, S3) i.e. indication flags, to a motor control device (20) depending on power-limiting interventions at the generator. The motor control device is provided for switching on and switching off loads (14, 15) at an electric circuit (24) fed by the generator. The power-limiting interventions are made by the controller and thermally limited for protecting the generator. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device comprising a generator device for a vehicle (2) a method for controlling or regulating an electric circuit of a motor vehicle. |
