摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element increasing a charge that reaches an electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element includes: a pin section having an n-type carbon layer, a p-type carbon layer, and an i-type carbon layer arranged between the n-type carbon layer and p-type carbon layer; a first electrode arranged so that an electron present in the n-type carbon layer can move; and a second electrode arranged so that a hole present in the p-type carbon layer can move, wherein a graphite layer is arranged between the first electrode and the pin section and/or between the pin section and the second electrode. When the graphite layer is arranged between the first electrode and the pin section, a refractive index of the graphite layer is larger than that of the n-type carbon layer; and when the graphite layer is arranged between the pin section and the second electrode, the refractive index of the graphite layer is larger than that of the p-type carbon layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
