PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning member for an image forming device, suppressing peeling of one or both ends of longitudinal ends of an elastic layer. SOLUTION: The cleaning member 100 is constituted by a roll-type member including, for example, a shaft 100A and the elastic layer 100B. The elastic layer 100B is arranged, for example from one end of the shaft 100A to the other end, spirally wound around from one end to the other end in the axial direction of the shaft 100 with intervals using the axis of the shaft 100A as a spiral axis. One or both ends in the longitudinal direction (that is, in the spiral direction) of the elastic layer 100B arranged in a spiral manner are arranged in a non-contact state to a side to be cleaned. Specifically, a recess 100C which recesses from the outer peripheral side of the shaft 100A toward the center axis side is provided on, for example, one or both ends in the axial direction of the shaft 100A, and one or both ends in the longitudinal direction of the elastic layer 100B are respectively arranged to the recess 100C.
