PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing bamboo pellet fuel that solves many problems such as promotion of fermentation, generation of mildew and drying cost, while using raw bamboo of a high water content, and enables to secure high exothermic calorie of good quality. SOLUTION: This method includes: a crushing and pulverizing step of blending 100 wt.% of raw bamboo of 2 years after its birth with the branches and leaves removed and 25-400 wt.% of dead bamboo of 2 years after its birth having a water content of <55% with the branches and leaves removed to feed in a crushing pulverizer 6 to crush and pulverize both components to obtain a bamboo based mixed powder; a drying step of drying the bamboo based mixed powder, obtained in the preceding step, in a dryer 10; and a granulating step of producing the bamboo pellet by granulating the bamboo based mixed powder, obtained in the drying step, using a granulator 12.
