PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the advance amount of a pillar toward the inside in the vehicle width direction at a side collision. SOLUTION: When a collision load toward the inside in the vehicle width direction is input to the center pillar 12 positioned above a rocker 14, a trough line 58 at an upper wall of a floor cross member 54 is deformed downward, thus causing wave deformation in the vertical direction in which a joint side with a rocker inner panel 30 is raised up, that is buckling deformation. When the buckling deformation amount increases, the projection (trough line 58), that is a wave projecting downward, extends downward to interfere a third wall part 46C of a gusset 46 to restrain an increase of a wave height of the wave deformation, that is the buckling deformation of the floor cross member 54, thus restraining the advance amount of the rocker 14 and center pillar 12 toward the inside in the vehicle width direction.
