The thermal radiator for the rehabilitation of the old-age dementia of the Alzheimer type which can be utilized to controlled brain heating consists at least of one infrared-radiation source (1) which is placed on the arm (2) and/or on a clip. The arm (2) and/or the clip is fastened to the pad (3). The control unit (4), equipped with the controls (6), is fastened to the pad (3). The control unit (4) is programmed to regulate the power output of the infrared-radiation source (1) automatically within a predefined time interval. The pad (3) is fitted with the chin support (5). The infrared-radiation source (1) and the chin support (5) can be positioned mutually. The thermal radiator is equipped with a cable distribution for connecting to the electrical network.
