PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe repair method, capable of rapidly and surely performing the repair of a pipe to be repaired by preventing heat transfer to the pipe. SOLUTION: An expansible pressure welding device (3) which includes a heating means (4) and has a cylindrical shape having a closed end portion is prepared. A pipe repairing material (1) composed of thermoplastic resin-containing glass fibers is fitted onto an outer peripheral portion of the pressure welding device (3) in a cylindrical shape, a flexible heat-insulating material (2) is fitted onto the outer circumference of the pipe repairing material (1) in a cylindrical shape, and the resulting pressure welding device (3) is inserted into the pipe to be repaired (10). Pressurized air is supplied into the pressure welding device (3) to expand the pipe repairing material (1), and the thermoplastic fibers are melted by the heating means (4) of the pressure welding device (3) with the pipe repairing material (1) being in pressure contact with the inner surface of the pipe to be repaired (10), and then cooled and solidified, whereby the pipe repairing material (1) is bonded to the inner surface of the pipe to be repaired (10) together with the flexible heat-insulating material (2).
