PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll paper supply device and a printing device having the same, which always stably deliver and supply roll paper in a sheet shape, and easily store the roll paper. SOLUTION: This roll paper supply device 39 includes a roll paper storage part 12 for rollably storing roll paper 11 with its rotation axis turning sideways, a delivery roller 34 for delivering the roll paper 11 stored in the roll paper storage part 12 in the sheet shape, a roll paper cover for opening-closing the roll paper storage part 12, and a side pressure plate 42 for contacting with one side surface of the roll paper 11 when closing the roll paper cover and displaced so as to separate from the side surface when opening the roll paper cover.
