PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector with a simple structure which is excellent in shielding action to an incident electromagnetic wave noise into the connector and an emitting electromagnetic wave noise from the connector and an adjusting action of the characteristic impedance. SOLUTION: At least one body out of contacts 12 of a row of contacts is provided with a ground connecting member 14 which is connected to a ground plate 13 for ground circuit formation, and the contact 12 which is connected to the ground plate 13 through the ground connecting member 14 is made to function as a ground contact 12A. By changing the installation position and the number, the ground circuit connection route can be optimized such as shortening, and an excellent shield action to the incident electromagnetic wave noise into the connector and the emitting electromagnetic wave noise from the connector and adjustment action of characteristic impedance can be obtained easily. Furthermore, a signal transmission contact and a ground circuit formation contact can be made an identical shape or structure to improve productivity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
