PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of shortening time for decomposition in a method of decomposing a reducing agent such as organic acid in a solution after chemical decontamination. SOLUTION: In the method, organic acid in a chemical decontamination liquid is decomposed in a first organic acid decomposition step, then the organic acid is decomposed into an allowable discharge concentration by adding an oxidizing agent of chemical equivalent or more to the undecomposed organic acid in a second organic acid decomposition step, the oxidizing agent is decomposed by adding a reducing agent of chemical equivalent or more to the unreacted oxidizing agent in an oxidizing agent decomposition step, and it is purified by a filter and a mixed bed resin in a purification step.
