PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air supplying and discharging device of a sand tank in a mold molding device, which can reduce the using number of open/shut valves and can prevent adhesion of sand in an air exhaust valve during air exhaust, and an air supplying and discharging method. SOLUTION: The air supplying and discharging device of the sand tank in the mold molding device includes the following components: the sand tank in the mold molding device; a porous member which is configured in the sand tank in a state that an interval is provided between the porous member and the inner surface of the sand tank; a hollow chamber which is formed by the outer surface of the porous chamber and the inner surface of the sand tank; sealing components which are attached to the front periphery of the sand filling nozzles of the sand tank and expand through introduction of the compressed air into the inner space; a pilot type air supplying/discharging valve which is communicated with the hollow chamber and is used for air supplying and discharging, and an open/shut valve which is communicated with the pilot type air supplying/discharging valve and the inner space of the sealing components.
