Disclosed is a lighting device that is resistant to unevenness in emitted light. A back-lit device (12) comprises a plurality of LED (17) light sources; at least two LED substrates (18) whereupon the LEDs (17) are mounted; connectors (23) that are capable of electrically connecting the at least two LED substrates (18) to one another; and reflector sheets (21) that are positioned upon mounting surfaces (18a) of the LED substrates (18) whereupon the LEDs (17) are mounted, and that reflect light. The connectors (23) are disposed upon faces (18c) of the LED substrates (18) that are adjacent to both the mounting surfaces (18a) and faces (18b) that are opposite the mounting surfaces (18a).
