The method comprises producing the joints (3) by bonding with which an adhesive seam (5) is produced, and carrying out a post-processing step for removing embossment of the adhesive seam, which protrude from a predetermined nominal geometry of the adhesive seam. The post-processing step is carried out with a machine cutter, where a cutting contour of the machine cutter has a negative form of the concave nominal geometry of the adhesive seam. The machine cutter is not adhesively designed for the adhesive and/or is heated, and/or removes the removed chips. An independent claim is included for a post-processing machine for adhered joints in a class-A-area or class-B-area of two components of a vehicle.
