PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer compound exhibiting excellent electron donor-acceptor properties that can be simply and efficiently produced. SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom, optionally substituted 1-20C hydrocarbon group, cyano group, carboxy group, alkoxycarbonyl group or alkenyloxycarbonyl group; and X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each independently a halogen atom).
