The disclosed simulated solar light irradiation device (30) includes: a light source section having a first light source (1) and a second light source (2); a light selection means (7) that selects light rays having wavelengths shorter than a given boundary wavelength from the first light emitted from the first light source (1) and also selects light rays having wavelengths longer than the given boundary wavelength from the second light emitted from the second light source (2), and that outputs the selected light rays; and a control means (5, 6) that controls the directivity of the first light or the directivity of the second light so that the light is incident on the light selection means (7) at a given incident angle. Thus, the irradiation with simulated solar light can be achieved as designed without increasing the device size.
