The belt (1) has an elongation measuring device (5) for measuring elongation of the belt and comprising a material changing its electric resistance based on change of elongation of the belt. The measuring device is integrated into a coating (7). The material of the measuring device is distributed in the base material (6), where the base material is designed as a fabric. The material of the measuring device is integrated into warp yarns of the fabric, is embedded in an elastomer matrix and comprises carbon particles in form of conductive carbon black or metal particles.
