<p>Disclosed are an image processing device and method which enable an improvement in prediction efficiency in weighting prediction for a color difference signal. When receiving an input of a reference image pixel value indicated by motion vector information from a motion compensation unit (82), a luminance weighting motion compensation unit (96) performs weighting prediction processing on a luminance signal and a color difference signal (in the case of RGB) using a weight coefficient and an offset value from a luminance weight/offset calculation unit (94). When receiving an input of the reference image pixel value indicated by the motion vector information from the motion compensation unit (82), a color difference weighting motion compensation unit (97) performs weighting prediction processing on a color difference signal (in the case of YCbCr) using a weight coefficient and an offset value from a color difference weight/offset calculation unit (95). The present invention is applicable, for example, to an image coding device which performs coding on the basis of the H.264/AVC system.</p> |
