<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a stereo type sound signal obtained by emphasizing or suppressing a normal position component. <P>SOLUTION: A first generating part 62 generates a numerical string CA (sequence of coefficient values CA(k) of each frequency) that emphasizes or suppresses the normal position component of a specific position in a sound signal SIN_L and a sound signal SIN_R of a stereo type. A second generating part 64 generates a numerical string CB comprising a coefficient value CB(k) corresponding to a phase difference of each frequency between the sound signal SIN_L and the sound signal SIN_R in accordance with a difference between an amplitude sum of the respective sound signal SIN_L and sound signal SIN_R and amplitude of the sum component M of the both sound signals SIN_L and SIN_R. A combining part 68 generates an emphasizing processing coefficient string Ge of the normal position component by combining the coefficient string CA and the coefficient string CB.
