<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application that takes advantage of the fun of a string-like character without increasing processing loads. <P>SOLUTION: A computer functions as a setting means for setting a character object including a string-like part having a joint structure with a plurality of joints connected in series, a character object control means for moving the character object by applying a virtual force on the joints of the character object and moving the joints on the basis of operation input information or a given event, and a cutting means for cutting the string-like part of the character object and dividing it into a plurality of cut character objects.
