PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and image forming apparatus capable of correcting displacement of a recording medium to be conveyed toward an image transfer unit with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The conveying device includes a first longitudinal resist corrector 32 for correcting the displacement in the conveying direction of the recording medium, a transverse resist corrector 31 for correcting the displacement in the width direction of the recording medium after correcting the displacement in the conveying direction by the first longitudinal resist corrector 32, and a second longitudinal resist corrector 33 for correcting the displacement in the conveying direction of the recording medium again after correcting the displacement in the width direction by the transverse resist corrector 31.
