PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which decreases the timing gap in printing between a case which includes a binding processing in a job and a case which does not include the binding processing in the job, lower than conventional cases. SOLUTION: An engine controller 32 of a composite machine is characterized in that, when the binding processing is included in the job, whenever a drawing module 31a starts formation of an image of each page of the job (S103 and S105), an image of a preceding page of the page where the drawing module 31a starts formation of the image is printed by a printer part, and when the drawing module 31a completes formation of the images of all the pages included in the job (S107), the image of the final page of the job is printed by the printer part, and the binding processing on a bundle of the papers printed by the printer part is performed by an after-treatment apparatus (S133).
