PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port body for a vacuum cleaner which is capable of reducing tangle of hairs and reducing the cost, and also to provide a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: In the suction port body 1 for a vacuum cleaner including a case 11 opening a suction port 11a facing a surface to be cleaned and a roller 12 pivoted at the case 11 and rolling on the surface to be cleaned, the roller 12 includes a base body 13 formed to have a circular cross section and freely rotated, and an outer periphery 14 made of a cloth woven or knitted into a cylindrical shape and covering the peripheral surface of the base body 13.
