PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub cleaning device and a storage type water heater including the same, capable of cleaning a bathtub without wastefully using hot water/water. SOLUTION: This bathtub cleaning device includes a sub-tank 106 for storing bath water 150a, an inlet pipe 101a connected to a circulation pipe 70a for reheating at one end, and to the sub-tank 106 at the other end, an outlet pipe 101b connected to the sub-tank 106 at one end and to a reheating pipe 70b at the other end, a sub-tank pump 104 for supplying the bath water 150a in the sub-tank 106 to the bathtub 150, and a control section 120 controlling a circulation pump 65 and the sub-tank pump 104, and the control section 120 raises a water level of the bathtub 150 by supplying the bath water 150a in the sub-tank 106 to the bathtub 150 after supplying hot water to the bathtub 150, and then supplies the bath water 150a of the bathtub 150 to the sub-tank 106 to lower the water level of the bathtub 150.
