The circuit arrangement (10) has a 2-way current regulator arranged in a storage line (48). The current regulator produces a connection between a piston line (20) and storage units (68, 70) during retraction of a hydraulic cylinder (12), and disconnects the connection between the piston line and the storage units. The storage line downstream of the 2-way current regulator is connected with a motor line (98) connected with a hydraulic motor (100), during connection of the piston line with the storage units. The hydraulic motor drives an electrical generator (102) for producing electrical power.
